We have all had our first date at some point in our lives. The first day of school, the first day driving alone, the first day in your apartment or a new house – it all strikes your heart with nervousness and joy. But, by far, the most emotionally “first” feeling should be the first day of a new job. Every new employee wonders if he or she will be able to do the job, if he or she will fit in, if he or she will feel comfortable in the company process. It is enough to make even the temper of long-term job seekers resilient. But it does not have to be this way. You, as a manager, can initiate a process to ease off new employees in the workplace so that their first day is not so appalling. It’s more like getting into a swimming pool from a shallow place than jumping to a deep end. But how is that really done?

They have consistently set aside their longings just in order to protect the interest of their new employees and to actively show their support for their colleagues and co-workers, and actively listen to their employees. Because demonstrating care is a sincere attitude towards the new employees, it can have a strong effect-only if the employees will be happy, as well as strengthen the dedicated staff, and the overall organisational culture too.
